Yeah, I know that feeling. You spend all that time preparing and doing everything and than something fails you. Like on my last shoot I took great pics with a crop top and later discovered I tied it in really stupid way and it looks so stupid... gah
I usually end up trying different things during shoot, both to have some variety but also if something doesn't work, I have some other options. The preparations and tech takes long enough already, so I always try to use it to the maximum.
