I would love to find a place for taking pics next to water. I think that would be great, with scenery reflecting in a water. Colorful sunlit trees in the fall would be perfect like that.
Also another idea is to shoot something in the winter on snow, but that's rather difficult.

That Canon is classic DSLR, it would work good enough too. Just have to rig it for interval remote to just keep taking pics, say every 5 seconds. Then pose in front of it and hope you are in frame and in focus and all that...
That's basically what I do outdoors, but it's not great, sometimes it's hard to stay in frame or camera focuses on to wrong things. At home for pics like this I use monitor connected to camera so I see myself and can pose accordingly etc.
It's kind of complex to set everything up but the image quality is so much better than anything from a phone.
